Pharmacist

Sobeys Capital Inc. in Terrace, BC is seeking a self-motivated Pharmacist. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage.
• The candidate must dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other healthcare professionals.
• The candidate must order and maintain pharmaceutical supplies.
• The candidate must advise customers on non-prescription medication use.
• The candidate must check prescriptions for proper dosage.
• The candidate must maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons and controlled drugs.
• The candidate must manage storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products.
• The candidate must supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and staff.
• The candidate must evaluate labeling, packaging, and advertising of drug products.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should be covered by the employer, allowing the employer to contribute to the employee's relocation costs incurred in moving closer to the company's offices or other work locations as required.
• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
• The candidate must work in a community or retail pharmacy to dispense medications, provide patient counseling, and ensure regulatory compliance.
