Kat Automotive Limited in Kelowna, BC is seeking a self-motivated Motor vehicle mechanic. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace a unit.
• The candidate must inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must inspect motors in operation.
• The candidate must review work orders.
• The candidate must road test motor vehicles.
• The candidate must test automotive systems and components.
• The candidate must adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• The candidate must repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate must estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• The candidate must perform scheduled maintenance service.
• The candidate must advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• The candidate must complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a workshop to fabricate, assemble, or repair components and products, ensuring quality and safety.
