Kennel attendant

Now hiring: Kennel attendant at A1 Boarding Kennels Ltd. in Kelowna, BC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time position. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must monitor and evaluate animal behaviour.
• The candidate must prepare food and feed animals.
• The candidate must clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a kennel to care for animals, manage their health and wellbeing, and assist with daily operations and maintenance of the facility.
