Job Description
- Canada Post wants a bilingual Post Office Assistant to do counter support.
- They process mail, and help customers with postal items and services.
- This is a good fit if youβve done retail or customer service before.
- You really enjoy talking with the public.
Responsibilities
- Offer postal products and services to businesses and the general public.
- Sort, label, route, and work through incoming and outgoing mail.
- Give customers postal info, forms, and practical help.
- Fix delivery and service problems quickly, and in a professional tone.
- Process customer payments and keep strong customer service expectations.
- Keep everything organized while you work, because mail never really waits.
Requirements
- High school diploma, or an equivalent level, or experience in business administration.
- Some experience working directly with customers in a retail or service setting.
- Experience managing sales activities plus cash transactions.
- A basic level of understanding for accounting, or post office accounting systems.
- You must be able to lift mail containers up to 50 lbs.
