The Crew Productivity Manager at Air Canada will be responsible for the management and supervision of the attendance and productivity programs of the Cabin Crew. Common goals include reducing absenteeism and improving operational results through good leadership and planning.

Job Description

  • Leads and manages attendance and productivity initiatives for Cabin Crews to enhance operational reliability and minimize leaves and absentees.
  • Additionally, leads the development and improvement of crew attendance processes and pilot programs to improve Crew availability.
  • Leads in a Hybrid environment where working in a Team-oriented environment with Effective Communication and a Positive vibe is of utmost importance.
  • The primary responsibility of this position is to promote workforce health and productivity goals.
  • Also provides consistency in applying Corporate Policies and procedures in order to Manage Crew Reliability and Expenses.
  • This position is an example of a manager position, normally based on a full-time schedule, where you are expected to follow a typical business week with the same number of working hours throughout the week.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliable attendance programs and productivity through the development, implementation, and improvement of attendance programs that support employees.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing the cabin crew by means of feedback, goal setting, and performance planning.
  • Monitoring leave and absence patterns, detecting problems at an early stage, and implementing corrective actions to reduce expenses.
  • Supervise the health, claims, and return to work files of employees in order to make the process of safe reintegration into the workplace and timely.
  • Watch over all reports and processes to develop policies.
  • Maintain complete and timely documentation.

Requirements

  • leadership skills of a good team organizer, and can use good judgment, and persuade others while clearing up the misunderstandings.
  • Capable of staying relaxed and cool when things get tough.
  • quickly adjusting to new circumstances while efficiently handling the large amount of work coming in.
  • Up to date in the areas of airline operations, attendance management, and organization with a labor union.
  • Thorough knowledge of the absenteeism management programs, In-Flight Services operations, and all systems and tools utilized in those operations.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills, together with the application of the regular and consistent working habits of reliability and punctuality.
  • proficient in both English and French and have the legal right to work in the chosen area.
