Job Description

  • Customer-facing full-time position at the airport assisting with passenger experience.
  • Provide support to passengers during their time at the airport to ensure smooth flight operations.
  • Play a role in the security of and timely flight operations.
  • The post is under unionized labor with UNIFOR.
  • Full time shift of approximately 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Customer-facing airport role representing Air Canada as a Ground Host or Hostess.
  • mainly support the areas of check-in, issuing boarding passes and providing pre-boarding help.
  • give passengers flight, schedule, and routing information.
  • help out with the whole airport journey starting from the traveler needing special assistance.
  • guarantee that passengers are moved to the gate or baggage claim area safely and on time.
  • position that is active and involves frequent movement within the assigned airport areas.

Requirements

  • availability for full-time paid training (5-7 weeks).
  • availability to work in shifts that rotate over the 24-hour period, weekends and holidays included.
  • Be able to lift, push, pull and provide wheelchair assistance to customers work under strict timelines to support on-time performance.
  • compliance with attendance, grooming, safety, and security standards.
  • past customer service experience plus excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • possess strong ability to solve problems within guidelines and policies.
  • right to work in the country of employment and to obtain the necessary security clearances.
  • bilingual English/French candidates will be given priority, additional languages will be considered.
