Plastic products manufacturing labourer

EPL Plastics is situated in Brantford, ON and is hiring a Plastic products manufacturing labourer to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist machine operators or assemblers in the manufacturing process.
• The candidate must clean and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must transport materials and tools to and from work areas.
• The candidate must prepare raw materials for the mixing process.
• The candidate must monitor machines for jammed materials or defective products.
• The candidate must weigh resins, colorants and other chemicals according to formulas.
• The candidate must unload mixtures into containers or conveyors for further processing.
• The candidate must place weighed materials into mixing machines.
• The candidate must operate mixing machines to blend plastics and chemicals to required consistency and viscosity.
• The candidate must operate a forklift.
• The candidate must change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes.
• The candidate must assist in the operation, repair and maintenance of equipment.
• The candidate must monitor and inspect quality of produced materials.
• The candidate must trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.

Work Setting

• The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
