NK Automotive Truck & Diesel Repair ( Prince George, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Shop clerk. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must accept cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit payments.
• The candidate must operate computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems.
• The candidate must advertise and/or promote products, sales, or services.
• The candidate must perform data entry.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must assist in the display of merchandise.
• The candidate must estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
• The candidate must greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease.
• The candidate must take customers’ orders.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.
• The candidate must clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
• The candidate must order parts and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must organize warehouse and work areas.
• The candidate must keep shop and warehouse clean.

• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in an automobile dealership.
• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate must work in an industrial setting to operate machinery, maintain equipment, and support production processes safely and efficiently.
• The candidate should work in a shop work interactive meeting where a group goes through a series of activities to solve a problem or work on a project.
