Shipping and receiving clerk

Head Candy Online Order Fulfillment in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications for the position of Shipping and receiving clerk. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Day, , 09:00 to 17:00 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must determine methods of shipment.
• The candidate must inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentation.
• The candidate must record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• The candidate must route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• The candidate must pack goods to be shipped.
• The candidate must unpack goods received.
• The candidate must affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments.
• The candidate must oversee loading and unloading of goods.
• The candidate must arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate should work in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution center handling products from manufacturers or wholesalers, organizing them, and shipping them to their final destinations as quickly as possible.
