Now hiring: Field-grown crop farm labourer - harvesting at Brenn-B Farms Limited in Waterdown, ON. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Overtime required, Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
• The candidate must clear fields of wood and stones.
• The candidate must cut agricultural crops.
• The candidate must cut agricultural seed according to farm standards.
• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must regulate water saturation, light and temperature as instructed to support crop growth and development.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
