Fantastic Beasts Veterinary Services in Parksville, BC is seeking a self-motivated Doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM). We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests.
• The candidate must treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
• The candidate must vaccinate animals to prevent and treat diseases.
• The candidate must advise clients on feeding, housing, behaviour, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
• The candidate must conduct veterinary research related to areas such as animal nutrition, health care product development, and disease prevention and control.
• The candidate must perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
• The candidate must supervise animal health technologists and animal care workers.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• The candidate must be accurate.
