Production supervisor – wood products manufacturing

SIlva Timber Products Ltd. ( Langley, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Production supervisor – wood products manufacturing. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare and submit reports.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
• The candidate must oversee the safety of operations.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must lead and instruct individuals.
