Job Description
- The candidate must operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
- The candidate must shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
- The candidate must instruct apprentices.
- The candidate must study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.
- The candidate must trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit and reinforce joints.
- The candidate must sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics.
- The candidate must apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
- The candidate must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- The candidate must supervise other workers.
- The candidate must repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
- The candidate must oversee project management activities to ensure objectives are met.
- The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- Or equivalent experience.

- The candidate must work in a commercial setting that fosters a workforce of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.
- The candidate must work in a general office.
- The candidate must work in a private company, corporation, or industry.
