European Market is situated in Windsor, ON and is hiring a Produce buyer to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must arrange products according to planogram.
• The candidate must establish and maintain contact with suppliers.
• The candidate must maintain adequate stock levels.
• The candidate must negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms and transportation arrangements with suppliers.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must review organizational requirements to determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
• The candidate must select and purchase merchandise for resale.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must have 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a wholesale store to manage inventory, support sales operations, and assist customers.
