Printing press operator

FIRST QUALITY C. PACKAGING INC. ( Mississauga, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Printing press operator. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments.
• The candidate must review job orders to determine production time, colour sequence and required quantities.
• The candidate must set up the press and operate it at slow speed to check samples.
• The candidate must remove and clean plates and cylinders at the end of the press run.
• The candidate must set up and adjust in-line binding and finishing equipment.
• The candidate must calibrate electronic equipment and instruments.
• The candidate must calibrate products using hand tools.
• The candidate must troubleshoot problems related to equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
