Press brake operator

Métal Marquis in La Sarre, QC is inviting applications for the position of Press brake operator. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day, Evening, Flexible hours, Overtime available, , 07:30 to 16:00 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must check products for correct shapes, dimensions, and other specifications.
• The candidate must clean and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must investigate problems and perform minor repairs.
• The candidate must lay out, set up, and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines.
• The candidate must read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• The candidate must select and transport materials to work areas manually or using cranes or hoists.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

• The candidate should work for the metal product fabrication industry that shapes metal into parts or end products.
