Operator, forklift truck

Gemtron Canada Corporation in Midland, ON is seeking a self-motivated Operator, forklift truck. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Shift, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and move products and materials manually or using basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must operate various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
• The candidate must ship orders.
• The candidate must pick orders and stock items.
• The candidate must weigh materials and goods.
• The candidate must make labels and attach them to goods.
• The candidate must wrap goods.
• The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
• The candidate must sort, crate, and stack goods.
• The candidate must transport and distribute materials and goods.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
