Noise abatement engineer

PETRA in Mississauga, ON is seeking a self-motivated Noise abatement engineer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Flexible hours, , 09:00 to 17:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must plan and design buildings.
• The candidate must conduct site visits to gather relevant information.
• The candidate must confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements.
• The candidate must develop construction specifications and procedures.
• The candidate must ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations.
• The candidate must establish and monitor construction work schedules.
• The candidate must evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials.
• The candidate must supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
• The candidate must prepare engineering designs and drawings.
• The candidate must assist in developing engineering specifications and drawings.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
