Machining and tooling inspector

Champion Machine in Surrey, BC is inviting applications for the position of Machining and tooling inspector. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must repair machine tools and parts.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
• The candidate must maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in the general manufacturing sector, creating new products from raw materials or assembling various components using physical, chemical, or mechanical methods.
