Job Description

  • The candidate must plan or adjust routes using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
  • The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.
  • The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
  • The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
  • The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
  • The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
  • The candidate must perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
  • The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
  • The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
