Long haul truck driver

Right-Link Transport Ltd. in Abbotsford, BC is inviting applications for the position of Long haul truck driver. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must calculate the cost of truck repairs and new parts if needed.
• The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials safely.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must pay and receive payments for goods.
• The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
• The candidate must perform emergency roadside repairs.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
