Cafe Il Nido in Vancouver, BC is inviting applications for the position of Kitchen helper. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time. Required shifts: Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must place dishes in storage areas.
• The candidate must keep records of the quantities of food used.
• The candidate must portion and wrap foods.
• The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
• The candidate must stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• The candidate must use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
• The candidate must handle and store cleaning products.
• The candidate must receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
• The candidate must remove kitchen garbage and trash.
• The candidate must sharpen kitchen knives.
• The candidate must wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
