SUSHI ON in Port Coquitlam, BC is seeking a self-motivated Head chef. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
