La Vie est Belle Childcare Centre in Port Coquitlam, BC is seeking a self-motivated Early childhood program supervisor. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must assess the children’s development in order to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
• The candidate must develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• The candidate must supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers.
• The candidate must synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents.
• The candidate must maintain knowledge of licensing regulations.
• The candidate must attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children.
• The candidate must establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
• The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
• The candidate must supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be creative.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a child care centre, a day nursery, or a crèches, probably the most formal childcare setting.
• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
