Doug Tarry Homes in St. Thomas, ON is inviting applications for the position of Estimator, construction. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must utilize quantity take-off procedures.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be proactive.
