Computer network technician

Alien Informatique Inc is situated in Saint-Georges, QC and is hiring a Computer network technician to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Flexible hours, , 08:00 to 17:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must coordinate access and use of computer networks.
• The candidate must install software.
• The candidate must install web server hardware and software.
• The candidate must maintain, troubleshoot, and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, and peripheral equipment.
• The candidate must evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
• The candidate must provide problem-solving services to network users.
• The candidate must implement data, software, and hardware security procedures.
• The candidate must perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records.
• The candidate must perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
• The candidate must set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
• The candidate must implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance.
• The candidate must research and apply metadata to Websites and register Websites with search engines.
• The candidate must perform Web-server backup and recovery operations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be bilingual.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
