Job Description
- The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
- The candidate must estimate labour costs.
- The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- The candidate must analyze operating costs and other data.
- The candidate must demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
- The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
- The candidate must create new recipes.
- The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
