LOAF Bakery ( Parksville, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Baker. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare doughs, batters, icings, and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
• The candidate must prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
• The candidate must bake mixed dough and batters.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.
• The candidate must frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
• The candidate must ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
• The candidate must inspect kitchen and food service areas.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must have food safety and handling skills.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

• The candidate must be able to work in a bake shop.
