Welding machine operator

KRM WELDING SERVICES LTD ( Edmonton, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Welding machine operator. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
• The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
• The candidate must read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• The candidate must examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• The candidate must fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
• The candidate must operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air, AOC).
• The candidate must maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be hardworking.
