Welder-assembler

Now hiring: Welder-assembler at Canam in Trois-Rivières, QC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
• The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment.
• The candidate must read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• The candidate must examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• The candidate must operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• The candidate must fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal.
• The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• The candidate must operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
• The candidate must operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
