Fabrication welder

Macon Industries Inc. is situated in Chemainus, BC and is hiring a Fabrication welder to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must interpret welding process specifications.
• The candidate must examine welds to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
• The candidate must operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
• The candidate must operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.
