Warehouse manager

Mitchell Island Terminals Ltd is situated in Delta, BC and is hiring a Warehouse manager to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must direct and control the operations of commercial facilities.
• The candidate must oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
• The candidate must plan and organize the operations of facilities and included real estate.
• The candidate must prepare reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility.
• The candidate must develop reports and proposals to illustrate the benefits of products or services.
• The candidate must prepare and administer sales contracts.
• The candidate must administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services.
• The candidate must hire and oversee the training and supervision of staff.
• The candidate must oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of real estate infrastructures, including machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
• The candidate must oversee facility space leasing and develop related marketing strategies.
• The candidate must plan and manage the facility's operations budget.
• The candidate must plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with standards.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
