Tow truck driver

Atlantic truck and equipment repair ltd ( Edwardsville, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Tow truck driver. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
