Tile fitter

Altimate Global Solution ( Saint John, NB) is currently looking for a skilled Tile fitter. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels.
• The candidate must set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
• The candidate must align and straighten tiles.
• The candidate must cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
• The candidate must pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
• The candidate must remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• The candidate must lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs.
• The candidate must cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must install tile strips.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
