General labourer - farm

Clear Blue Farms & Nursery Inc. is situated in Abbotsford, BC and is hiring a General labourer - farm to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Overtime required, Early morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate must guide growing shoots into optimal development positions.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must tie and secure plants.
• The candidate must train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.

Work Site Environment
