HOME BY IDEAL CONSTRUCTION LTD. is situated in Langford, BC and is hiring a Terrazzo, tile and marble setter to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels.
• The candidate must prepare rough plans and sketches.
• The candidate must set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
• The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
• The candidate must remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be hardworking.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
