Job Description

  • The candidate must handle animals.
  • The candidate must monitor animal health.
  • The candidate must perform pig littering activities, including clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medications, identifying piglets, and castration.
  • The candidate must track and report on current feed inventory.
  • The candidate must perform weaning tasks.
  • The candidate must feed and tend animals.
  • The candidate must ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are strictly followed.
  • The candidate must maintain quality control and production records.
  • The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
  • The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
  • The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate must set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
