North Nova Seafoods is situated in Pictou, NS and is hiring a Seafood preparer - fish and seafood processing to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing.
• The candidate must disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing.
• The candidate must weigh fish or shellfish, record weights, and pack products in ice for storage or transport.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
