Hornepayne Lumber Limited Partnership in Hornepayne, ON is seeking a self-motivated Sawmill labourer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Night, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines.
• The candidate must load chips, sulfur, and processing materials.
• The candidate must remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
