Roof Doctor in Kelowna, BC is seeking a self-motivated Roofing technician. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must plan and estimate labour and materials.
• The candidate must establish and maintain contact with suppliers.
• The candidate must prepare detailed cost estimates.
• The candidate must follow up on issues with work orders.
• The candidate must read blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings.
• The candidate must coordinate multidisciplinary projects.
• The candidate must maintain and build own clientele.
• The candidate must identify customers’ needs.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must work in a commercial setting that fosters a workforce of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.
• The candidate should work in the industrial area with facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations, and similar operations.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
