Production labourer - food processing

Galaxy Human Resources Inc is situated in Kelowna, BC and is hiring a Production labourer - food processing to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Term or contractFull time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must have food safety and handling skills.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
• The candidate must measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
• The candidate must feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers.
• The candidate must remove filled containers from conveyors.
• The candidate must manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.
• The candidate must feed and unload processing machines.
• The candidate must check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• The candidate must assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
