RMT (registered massage therapist)

Urban Retreat Massage Therapy Ltd is situated in Halifax, NS and is hiring a RMT (registered massage therapist) to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower grade mobilizations.
• The candidate must explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients.
• The candidate must maintain records of treatments given.
• The candidate must massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body.
• The candidate must suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must uphold values and ethics.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a private practice.
