Refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic apprentice

RÉFRIGÉRATION ET CLIMATISATION THERMOTECH INC ( Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic apprentice. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Early morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must install and overhaul heating systems.
• The candidate must install refrigeration systems.
• The candidate must install ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems.
• The candidate must interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation.
• The candidate must measure and lay out reference points for installation.
• The candidate must read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must troubleshoot heating systems.
• The candidate must troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
• The candidate must assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
• The candidate must coach and instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must start up systems and test for leaks using testing devices.
• The candidate must perform maintenance such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, or calibrating systems.
• The candidate must interpret gas codes.
• The candidate must handle, recover, and store refrigerants.
• The candidate must repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or equivalent experience.
