Break Free Counselling Ltd. in Sydney, NS is seeking a self-motivated Psychotherapist. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time position. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes.
• The candidate must examine and assess behavioural patterns.
• The candidate must accurately record observations.
• The candidate must review reports from healthcare professionals to determine patients’ current and potential functioning levels.
• The candidate must write detailed progress reports.
• The candidate must prepare individualized treatment plans for each patient.
• The candidate must provide therapeutic services.
• The candidate must counsel individuals and groups to support personal, social and vocational development.
• The candidate must implement approved treatment plans.
• The candidate must analyze patient responses during treatment sessions.
• The candidate must apply psychological theory and principles regarding behavior and mental processes.
• The candidate must develop and implement counselling and intervention programs to assist clients in setting and achieving goals.
• The candidate must counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services and facilitate group sessions.
• The candidate must maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• The candidate must follow up on counseling program results and client adjustments.
• The candidate must administer standardized psychological tests for assessment purposes.
• The candidate must help clients manage physical illnesses and disorders.
• The candidate must identify additional or alternative services and provide appropriate referrals.
• The candidate must liaise with community agencies or partners to coordinate services and provide referrals.
