Tandoori Grill Meat Shop is situated in Brampton, ON and is hiring a Butcher, retail to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day, Evening, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean meats to prepare them for processing or cutting.
• The candidate must cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must wrap and package prepared meats.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.
• The candidate must weigh meats for sale.
• The candidate must cut poultry into parts.
• The candidate must clean and prepare fish and shellfish.
• The candidate must sell meats to customers.
• The candidate must cut fish into steaks and fillets.
• The candidate must supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.
• The candidate must grind meats.
• The candidate must train meat cutters.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.

• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a supermarket, including the meat department, to handle food preparation, ensure product quality, assist customers, and maintain safe and organized work areas.
• The candidate should work in a supermarket/grocery store self-service shop offering a wide variety of food, beverages, and household products, organized into sections.
