Cape Breton County Homemakers Agency in Sydney, NS is inviting applications for the position of Home support worker. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Casual employment - Part time. Required shifts: Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer bedside and personal care to clients.
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must be able to work in the employer’s or client’s home, be capable of working at varied site locations, and understand that performance progression is reviewed annually.
