Production supervisor – wood products manufacturing

Pallet Terminal Ltd ( Surrey, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Production supervisor – wood products manufacturing. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare and submit reports.
• The candidate must resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must train or arrange for training of staff.
• The candidate must oversee the safety of operations.
• The candidate must recommend personnel actions.
• The candidate must requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• The candidate must set up machines and equipment.
• The candidate must supervise, coordinate, and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers.
• The candidate must recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
