MS DRYWALL LTD. in Delta, BC is inviting applications for the position of Procurement manager. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Overtime required, Morning, Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must assign projects and programs to the purchasing and warehouse departments across the organization.
• The candidate must coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
• The candidate must plan and control budget and expenditures.
• The candidate must hire, train, direct, and motivate staff.
• The candidate must plan, develop, and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
• The candidate must oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services.
• The candidate must authorize development of product or service specifications.
• The candidate must manage contracts.
• The candidate must review and process claims against suppliers.
• The candidate must advise senior management.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in construction trades and crafts, including bricklaying, stonemasonry, carpentry, joinery, demolition, electrical work, painting and decorating, plumbing, scaffolding, steeple jacking, and wall and floor work.
