Prep cook

Air North, Yukon's Airline in Whitehorse, YT is inviting applications for the position of Prep cook. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
• The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
• The candidate must stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• The candidate must take customers’ orders.
• The candidate must use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
• The candidate must clean and sanitize kitchens, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• The candidate must wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
