Pharmacy technical assistant

Comox Valley Pharmacy is situated in Comox, BC and is hiring a Pharmacy technical assistant to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate.
• The candidate must enter client information in databases.
• The candidate must help pharmacists.
• The candidate must bill third-party insurers.
• The candidate must maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
• The candidate must schedule and confirm appointments efficiently.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Setting

• The candidate must be able to work in a pharmacy or drugstore.
